DirecTV Satellite Launched, Capacity of 1,600 HDTV Channels Soon

DirecTV has launched their new Spaceway F1 satellite. With the launch of an additional satellite in June, DirecTV will have capability offer 1,500 local HD channels and 100 national HD channels.
